Frequently asked questions
How do I actually get the PDFs after buying?
Immediately after checkout you'll receive a download link by email. The link stays active — re-download whenever you want.
Is this legal advice?
No. These guides are for educational purposes only. They walk you through frameworks the industry uses and consumer rights under federal law, but they are not a substitute for a licensed attorney. For a specific legal situation — especially if you've been sued — consult a consumer-protection lawyer.
I've already been sent to collections. Is it too late?
No. Section 6 of the Bible (Credit Protection and Debt Collection Defense) is specifically for accounts already in collections. The Playbook covers the exact pause tactics to run before saying another word on the phone.
Does this work in my state?
The federal frameworks (FDCPA, HIPAA, No Surprises Act, FCRA) apply everywhere. Section 8 of the Bible provides 24 state-specific profiles for charity care thresholds, statute of limitations, and patient rights.
Will negotiating hurt my credit?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no — it depends on how the account is currently reported and what you settle for. Section 6 explains this in detail. As of 2022–2025, medical debt under $500 must be removed from credit reports; medical debt under 12 months old cannot be reported.
What's the difference between the Bible and the Decoder?
The Bible is the 208-page complete field manual — every tactic, every letter template, every state rule. The Decoder is a 74-page plain-English companion — glossary, checklists, quick-reference. Most people use both: Decoder to understand what they're looking at, Bible to actually run the plays.
Is the Debt Collector's Playbook really free?
Yes. It's the top-of-funnel field guide, distributed free to help people pause before they react. Drop your email on the homepage and we'll send it instantly.
Refund policy?
30 days, no questions. Reply to your receipt email. See our full refund policy.
Do you offer 1-on-1 consulting?
No. Alwin does not do 1-on-1 consulting. If your situation is complex (lawsuit, bankruptcy considerations), consult a licensed attorney.
Can I gift these to another person?
Yes. Forward the download link. Or email us and we'll send it directly to them with a note.
